Our Mission
We activate inner wealth for collective wellbeing and transformation.
For us, inner wealth emerges from a deeper connection with oneself, others and life through five pathways: Be, Love, Serve, Grow, Play.
It is a life-giving form of wealth that nourishes individuals from the inside-out, enabling us to live richer, deeper, more meaningful lives. It leads to more enlightened actions towards the wellbeing of all.
In workplaces, we facilitate this through consulting, facilitation and coaching for life-affirming leadership and workplace culture, employee mental wellbeing and socio-emotional intelligence development.
For individuals, we support deep personal transformation towards a meaningful life of service through our Inner Billionaire Legacy programme and our coaching.
We emphasise work with influential agents such as leaders, philanthropists and non-profits, whose growth, wellbeing and service ripples out to touch many.
We are a signatory to the Mindful Business Charter and a partner of the Charter for Compassion.
We are Asia-based and work remotely to serve time-zones that overlap with Singapore business hours.
With our clients, friends and community, we’re growing a movement of inside-out transformation for more enlightened spaces wherever each of us is.
OUR VALUES AND
Transformation Approach
Inner Wealth values – Be, Love, Serve, Grow, Play – are our primary values.
We strive to embody these and make change in ways such as through:
- transforming society’s connection to “wealth” by adding a dimension that nurtures collective wellbeing and transformation.
- striving to work close to the roots of suffering, at the optimal level we can access.
- partnering with influential agents such as leaders, donors, non-profits and educators so that love, wisdom and justice are amplified with more ease.
- caring about our stakeholders as whole human beings.
- allowing our intentional relationship with stakeholders to be a crucible for mutual learning and transformation.
- tending to our inner transformation through and for our service, and striving to be the change.
- facilitating the wise and just flow of financial resources.

The workplace is undertapped as a place for societal transformation. People spend most of their waking hours at work and many dread it. I believe we can create workplaces as educational institutions to nurture more evolved human beings, as places where service to the public is a genuine form of community care and as wellbeing hubs for employees and their families.

In the digital era we inhabit today, knowledge is readily accessible, but genuine transformation doesn’t arise solely from knowledge. It’s about translating knowledge into action, emphasizing “show-how” over mere “know-how.”

I believe that an organisation is only as effective as its people are well; and the people are only as well as their leaders are well…I am deliberate in creating safe spaces through my love and acceptance of the people I am with. If my presence has a healing effect, my work is complete.

With individuals, deep inner work transforms their mind, feelings, and thus, their reactions, behaviours, and tendencies. The less issues and pains an individual carries and the happier that individual feels in his or her self, then the better their relationship with themselves, others, nature and the world at large will be.

… our values and expectations may be influenced by society’s standards. I hope to continue to use my story to facilitate individuals to discover their own inner truths, to be compassionate, and grow and serve a higher purpose when faced with challenges.
Founder’s Story
Dear Friends,
My heart became more sensitive to others’ suffering in 1990 as I was ordering from a food-stall. Out of nowhere, I felt compassion for the duck hanging on the meat-hook. I quit meat that day, started volunteering two years later, studied social work in university and entered the nonprofit world and social movements. We can change in an instant. And we can change over decades. Personal and societal transformation became and remain twin themes in my life.
In 2009, an accident killed four migrant workers being transported in a cargo vehicle. Pained by this, I spent time with injured migrant workers and those not paid wages, and learnt about their challenges.
Because of a conversation I had with one of them, I had a transformation in my heart to release judgement of those who cause such suffering – for they suffer too from their own struggles, wounding or not knowing. In place of judgement rose love, and that was a breakthrough in my state of being.
From this spacious inner state, I felt Called to support the hearts of people more upstream so that their own growth in compassion and wellbeing would have a ripple effect on those who are more vulnerable. That brought me into the world of facilitating, consulting and coaching.
Fast forward about 11 years, an employee in Australia apparently committed suicide due to her work culture. This broke my heart open, and made me wonder about what would lead leaders to continue to create workplace cultures and make decisions through which countless lives suffered when they already had so much money. And this was after years of learning from employees on their work lives.
One response that emerged from this reflection was that some may feel that whatever money, status or power they have is not enough. It reminded me of Professor Tim Kasser’s research finding that beneath materialism lies insecurity. None of us, including me, are immune to inner struggles though they may take different forms for each of us. (Creating and using financial wealth in ways that support collective wellbeing and the greater good are needed. What is being questioned here is when it does harm.)
But what perhaps can help is to feel full enough and lit up from within so we don’t grasp for things in a way that harms life.
And what could this fullness be about?
“Inner wealth” was the phrase that emerged from this contemplation.
This was a synthesis of golden threads running through decades of my life. Amidst challenges, I have managed to live a deep, rich, meaningful life because of prioritising love, service and growth, which are core to inner wealth. I live these imperfectly yet with conviction.
The leaders I was wondering about are not above or below me. We are all beautiful and imperfect in our own ways. And I have deep compassion for all of us – we face many obstacles, inner and outer, to live out such values.
So why did I found Inner Wealth?
- To add a dimension to wealth that I believe is urgent and important for us to consider so we take care of each other and not just look out for ourselves and cause suffering to others.
- To enable us to live deeper, richer, more meaningful lives in this world, with all its beauty and brokenness.
- Values such as love, service and growth (which are core to inner wealth) are not new. They have been supported by wisdom traditions, those who have learned through life and science for many years. I believe we each have a precious journey to discover such timeless truths as personal truths in our hearts and bodies. And share it with each other in ways that speak to our lives.
We all will fall again and again in embodying such values, as we have for eons, but we are here to keep supporting each other to rise together.
“Together” is important. We need each other.
It is through the support of kindred spirits near and far that our metamorphosis from our previous form took place. If you feel a meaningful connection to us, we invite you to become part of our “together” and join our movement and learn what you can do.
With every small, heartfelt action, we grow the light in our world together.
Warmly,
Vadivu
